Ursula is a Keur KWPN imported mare. She was awarded her Keur predicate in Holland under the late Gert van der Veen of the KWPN. After importation, Ursula competed up to the Grand Prix level in jumping. At age 14, she placed 4th at the prestigious $50,000 Santa Anita Grand Prix and retired sound.

Necessity was born in 1995. "Tessa" was presented, approved and branded KWPN as a four year old and started her career as a jumper. She is by the direct son of Ramiro Z, Rolando. Rolando is a full brother to KWPN approved stallion, Armstrong, who won the jumping test of his stallion inspection in Holland and Rolondo is a 3/4 brother to the late Zeoliet, a premiere sire of both dressage and jumping horses. Necessity's paternal grandmother is Terma, a keur preferent prestatie mare, one of the world's elite mares. Necessity is out of our foundation KWPN mare, Ursula who competed until age 14 at the Grand Prix level in jumping.

Tessa passed away on a sunny day in Feb. 2011. She is buried on our farm next to her dam, Ursula.

She has some of the finest Dutch, Selle Francias and Holsteiner jumping bloodlines. Her damline is one of the most famous damlines in Holland. She is a full brother to Airamis and D'Airamis.
